Can you spot the minor inconsistencies in this adaptation from the original novel? That's right! In the novel, the titular "old man" didn't wear glasses! Otherwise, this is a spot-on adaptation. That minor change was obviously only done to ensure that this had the same thematic tone as the novel. Something about religion or nature or something.
