Seriously though, this technique has saved me from complete mental breakdowns a couple times already this summer. I swear, I used to live in places with this kind of summer heat, but apparently I had grown too accustomed to the cool Bay Area summers, and now I can't handle it!

I mean, we did other things too! Fancy things! Cultural things! Waffles!

Seriously though, nice to have my brother visit last week. Also, yes, I am just now putting away the air mattress.

Unrelated topic: I am hating my computer, it no longer cooperates with me while I'm making comics. Lag, crashes, jittery lines. Ugh... I can't do anything cool and new! Oh well, I'll be saving my pennies for an upgrade now, I guess.

Phew... weird week!

There was this power outtage in a chunk of the city that meant the museum was closed unexpectedly while I was working. That was sort of an exciting nightmare.

Then my brother arrived that night to visit, and was here for the last few days, just leaving this morning. So we were quite busy doing fun things and trying to get a good sense of the city since he's never been here before. That was a good time, but I have barely been able to sleep the last couple days because of the heat and the cats constantly bothering me about the mysterious visitor.

Okay, time to go relax and get back to work!

I've discovered the secret of the universe. Are you ready to hear it? Whenever something annoying or terrible is happening in your life, make a comic about it. As soon as you're just a few hours away from finishing, whatever was bothering you will be all fixed!

It happened just a couple weeks ago when I was trapped in bed with a horrible allergy attack, and it happened this time with the terrible heat. Things have cooled down to a manageable level by the time this comic is posted. I'm sure it is but a brief respit from the unyielding flames of the sun, but I'll take it while it lasts.

I've got a crazy week ahead of me, but I'm sure I'll get some kind of update on my condition here for you next week. I'll see you then!
