Aw, man. I was SO excited for a snow storm here in Philly. I haven't had a good weather emergency since I moved to California many years ago. I was so well prepared to be stuck inside for days! Oh well. Now I just have a sweet gun! (I didn't really get a gun)

I miss having some kind of system to blame for my failings. There is no boss jealous of my abilities or corporate hierarchies maintaining the status quo. It's so hard to deal with only having myself to blame. Luckily, every tiny victory makes me so much happier and fills me with so much more pride that I don't think I could give it up for anything at this point.

Jaydee and I are sort of obsessed with playing this game (Dice Masters, if anyone is wondering). It's a lot of fun. Plays a little bit like a classic collectible card games, but with dice being the random element instead of the luck of the draw.

Now I just need to find a place that isn't always sold out!

Happy New Year, everyone! I have returned from my trip visiting my family in Wisconsin. Not only did I get to visit with my family, Jaydee and I got a chance to spend a night in Madison, eating at one of my favorite restaurants, seeing a show at one of my favorite old venues, and spending too much money at my old favorite record store. Other than Jaydee starting to get sick, it was a pretty good trip!
